Nutritionist's Take
NOW Supplements, Silica Complex with Horsetail Extract, contains silica derived from horsetail extract, which is believed to support healthy hair, skin, and nails due to silica's role in collagen production. The product is also said to promote bone health and overall connective tissue wellness. However, while the ingredient quality is generally regarded as high, consumers should be cautious of excessive dosages, as too much silica may lead to potential side effects such as digestive upset. While the product is suitable for various dietary preferences, including vegetarian diets, individuals with specific allergies or dietary restrictions should consult a healthcare provider before use. Overall, while the product may provide nutritional benefits for hair and skin health, it should be consumed judiciously as part of a balanced diet.
