Hellwig Helpers Editorial Review
The Hellwig 1520 LP-15 Helper Spring Kit has garnered a mixed but generally positive reception from customers who have installed them on various truck models, primarily the Chevy Colorado and its variants. Users appreciate the enhanced handling characteristics and stability offered by these helper springs, especially when carrying heavy loads. Many noted a significant reduction in body roll during cornering and improved ride quality, maintaining comfort without sacrificing performance. Installation experiences varied among users, with several noting that while the process was straightforward, some unexpected challenges arose, particularly relating to the positioning of the shock bolts. A few customers shared insights on overcoming installation hurdles, suggesting adjustments and modifications that could save time and effort. The adjustable nature of the springs is a frequently highlighted feature, allowing users to customize ride firmness based on their needs. On the downside, a couple of users expressed disappointment with fitment issues on specific models, claiming that the springs did not deliver the expected performance enhancements for their vehicles. Additionally, comments regarding the aesthetic appeal of unpainted u-bolts indicated that some users would prefer more visually appealing components. Overall, the Hellwig 1520 LP-15 has proven to be a worthy investment for those looking to enhance their truck's handling and load-carrying capacity, though potential buyers should Consider the fitment based on their vehicle’s specifications. **
