Trans-Dapt Oil Filters Editorial Review
The Trans-Dapt Performance Trans-Dapt 1022 Filter By-Pass for GM vehicles presents a mixed bag for users. While some customers have noted successful installations—such as relocating the oil filter on a 1992 Chevy—others have encountered significant issues that detract from the overall satisfaction. Key concerns include improper threading, leaking seals, and the absence of an O-ring essential for a secure connection to the motor. Several reviewers expressed disappointment due to the lack of depth in the threads, making installation challenging. Additionally, the recurring problem of leaks, even with tight fittings, suggests that the design may not meet all users’ needs effectively. The omission of vital components, such as the O-ring needed for a proper seal, has also rendered the product unusable for some purchasers, leading them to deem it "useless." Overall, while the filter by-pass may work well for some applications, the inConsistency in manufacturing quality and missing components raises concerns about reliability and usability. **
