FocusFoto Shoe Mount Flashes CY-20 Editorial Review
The YINYAN CY-20 Universal Hot Shoe On-Camera Flash Speedlite Electronic Speedlight is a nice little flash that works well as a sender for studio strobes. The first unit was DOA but was replaced quickly and efficiently. The flash has a fast cycle time with 2 AA batteries and comes with instructions only in Chinese, but the labels on the unit are in English. The flash has limited range when used for fill flash but is acceptable in a pinch. The battery cover is a little flimsy, but the charging slows down after about 200 shots and is useful for up to about 500 shots. The unit is tested on-camera and off-camera with a slave flash hot-shoe and sync cable adapter.
