    Answer: How fast can you run? These are a nice shoes for running on trails so they have a more aggressive sole. They are light and comfortable and they last about as long as other running shoes. I've bought these quite a few times and I am happy with them.

    Answer: yes, but they are new- so i am trying to wear sock

    Answer: There is no additional toe protection to the best of my knowledge--it's a running shoe with a slightly more aggressive sole, not a work shoe.

    Answer: I don't. By the time I would need laces I have already worn the outside corners so much that I have discarded the shoes.

    Answer: Breathable, yes. It's a trail runner, but also picking up a a 2nd pari for daily wear since they last longer than a standard running shoe. As to gym use, it depends on the activity. Strength training, sure. However, it's not a racketball or basketball shoe at all. The would also likely scuff up a court floor.
