These lights are a cost-effective way to upgrade the lighting in your house or workshop. They can be installed using 14/2 wiring and the hole size for the 4-inch lights is detailed in the hole template that comes with the light. The lights can be used with a smart dimmer and even with a 3-way switch. It is safe to install in the bathroom ceiling and use in a cold environment such as a garage. However, they are not submersible. The packaging is excellent with the inclusion of a wire nut but the transformer box is small and makes it difficult to gang the lights together. The lights tend to flicker at low range when dimming, and there were some complaints about transformer fail. Nonetheless, for the price, these lights are a good purchase.
