  • Question: Does this have a battery? No sun No fun?

    Answer: It has only a solar battery. It spurts a small bubbling fountain on mostly cloudy days.
  • Question: Because these floats on the water, will the little dirt/bug particles plug this up?

    Answer: I’ve had mine in a stone bird bath now for a year and it’s still working perfectly. Holes on the unit are big enough to allow particles and dirt through with no problem.
  • Question: What is the function of the 4 straws of the fountain pump?

    Answer: There are only 2 holes and I received only 3 straws in a sealed cellophane package so this answer was not helpful.
  • Question: Is the flow continuous or does it spurt?

    Answer: It only works in direct sunlight, not at all in shade. It spurts when cloudy.
  • Question: Is there a plastic cover over the panels that needs to be removed?

    Answer: No.
  • Question: Does the solar fountain pump seem to help attract hummingbirds to the birdbath?

    Answer: I think it will if your birdbath is on a pedestal. Mine is on the ground to iffy for them to go so low.
  • Question: My fountain squirts intermittently instead of a steady stream.. what can I try to make it continually spray?

    Answer: Try moving it to a sunnier location. Clean the water pump to remove debris. Try switching out the nozzles.
  • Question: How deep does the water need to be for a solar fountain to work?

    Answer: Works in less than two inches of water. A birdbath will work since birds typically prefer shallow water.
  • Question: Is there an automatic low water shut off?

    Answer: As far as I can tell there is no shut off for low water.
  • Question: It’s day 2 and there is full sunlight on the panels. However, the spray is pulsing. I cleaned 2 small bits of debris from the filter. Any ideas?

    Answer: Mine is the same. It’s junk all through. I’m ready to trash it.
