  • Question: Are these binoculars suitable for use in water?

    Answer: Yes, they are waterproof and can float on water if dropped.
  • Question: What is the field of view of these binoculars?

    Answer: The field of view is 396 feet at 1000 yards.
  • Question: What is the purpose of the built-in rangefinder and compass?

    Answer: They help with direction location and calculate the distance and size of objects.
  • Question: Why are there 2 of the same binoculars but one is green and more expensive Is there a difference between the 2?

    Answer: USCAMEL has indicated that the black and Army green versions of their 10x50 binocular are the same (save the color of course). I don't know why the price differences between them.
  • Question: Does the compass still work if the batteries are dead or missing?

    Answer: Yes the batteries just light the reticle making it usable in low light conditions. Great binocs, work better than ones I paid a lot more for.
  • Question: The compass sticks and will not float unless you give it a sharp rap. I there any solution to this problem?

    Answer: Liquid filled compass...gonna stick sometimes with movement in the vertical case with a free float pointer.
  • Question: What material are the binoculars made of metal or plastic?

    Answer: Plastic
  • Question: Is a tripod mount included?

    Answer: NO.
  • Question: How far will it range a deer

    Answer: It really depends on your ability to gauge the size of the deer since you are using mil dots and the slide rule on the binoculars. So the range is indefinite, you just need to know the height or width of the object you are looking at to extrapolate the range. I found this to be very accurate. You also need to remember everything is in meters, if you read the owners manual this is explained in pretty plain language. Good luck
  • Question: Will this range finder work well for deer hunting? Does anyone know rangefinder distance? Last does it show distance in yards?

    Answer: You have to do the math better off with range finder
  • Question: What is the folded dimension in inches?

    Answer: These don’t fold up
  • Question: How accurate is the range finder?

    Answer: I have not measured a distance and compared it to what it says. We use it mostly to watch ships so that would be difficult.
