Does the top of the carriage fit with the little person inside? One of the reviews said it doesn't.
Answer: Yes, it does. It took a little while for my daughter to learn how to put a person inside the carriage and get the top on without knocking the person over, but she can do it now. She is two. :) My daughter loves the carriage and so do many of her friends. It's a great addition to the set! -

Are they the same scale as Melissa & Doug standard unit blocks?
Answer: I don't know for sure because I don't have the Melissa & Doug blocks, but I don't think so. They are great blocks though! We love playing with them! -

Is the paint non toxic and lead free?
Answer: These are not painted. Plan Toys are made from recycled rubberwood and the natural dyes are built into the material as they are made. PlanToys has won awards for safety, environmental sensitivity, and innovative design. -

Are these standard size or smaller?
Answer: The basic rectangular building block is about 4 inches by 2 by 2. They seem right-sized for my 4-year-old. We love them. -

Is there any plastic in this toy? The flag looks plastic.
Answer: The flags are made of thick felt. The wheels on the carriage are made of plastic. Nicely made toy. My children love this!
