Gibraltar Electronic Drum Accessories SC-XHAT Editorial Review
The Gibraltar SC-4420S Super Hi Hat Clutch has garnered a positive reception among drummers, particularly for its ease of setup and reliable performance. Users praise its straightforward functionality, noting that it is easy to attach and detach, making it a practical choice for both practice and performance. The pricing is Considered fair, especially when compared to other options on the market, reinforcing the notion that Gibraltar products deliver quality without breaking the bank. Many reviewers emphasized the importance of having a drop clutch, especially for drummers who play double bass, highlighting how the Gibraltar clutch facilitates better hi-hat work, providing greater control and enhanced playability. Drummers transitioning from standard clutches to this model have found the upgrade significant, appreciating the extra weight that allows for fine-tuned control over their hi-hat sound. In terms of compatibility, while most users found it works well with various stands, there was a note of caution regarding its fit with specific brands like DW. Despite some isolated critiques about the tightening mechanism of the bottom piece allen screw, the general Consensus is that, with a bit of effort, the clutch operates smoothly and efficiently. Overall, customers are satisfied with their purchase and would recommend it to others looking to enhance their hi-hat setup. **
