EarthPeopleTechnology Single Board Computers Editorial Review

The MaxProLogic board is a well-designed product from Earth People Technology. It comes with a good number of I/O pins and four 20 pin connectors. In case someone loses the instruction CD, they can download everything from the manufacturer's website or request another DVD. For its power supply, there are three options, which are USB Micro B cable, 5.5mm Barrel connector, and Pins 1 and 10 of J5 connector. The MaxProLogic board does not include USB Blaster or power supply. On the positive side, the MaxProLogic performs well, and it shipped quickly, ahead of schedule. It has plenty of I/Os for development, making it perfect for both professionals and students. The JTAG Blaster programmer is separate and sold cheaper by the same seller. The Quartus development environment is also user-friendly. On the other hand, some users complained about the insufficient learning resources, including a lack of pin numbers for the clock and user button to use the board properly. It is not an excellent option for someone planning to learn FPGA through the board since it has insufficient user inputs and outputs. Also, it does not have PMOD ports that other boards have. Summing up, the MaxProLogic is a reasonable board for those who already know a bit about FPGAs or are merely playing around with an inexpensive MAX10 device. You might consider other boards with more powerful features and a good number of IOs for better performance. Below are the pros and cons of the MaxProLogic board as per customer feedback:
