Slipstreamer Scooter Windshield - Scoot 40 S-SCTR40-M

The Slipstreamer Scooter Windshield, specifically the Scoot 40 S-SCTR40-M model, has garnered mixed reactions from customers who have installed it on their scooters. While many users appreciate the heavy-duty Construction and optical clarity of the windshield, they are often frustrated by the inadequate mounting system, which many Consider flimsy and not fit for purpose. In particular, users have pointed out that the assembly of the windshield can be quite challenging due to the absence of clear instructions, leading to significant time spent trying to get the setup right. Moreover, for larger scooters like the SYM HD200, the height of the windshield has been noted as a potential issue, as it can interfere with the rider's line of sight when using the original mirror-mount brackets. Additionally, a common theme in user feedback is the tendency for the mounting brackets to vibrate loose, which can be extremely unsafe at high speeds. Some customers have resorted to creating their own brackets using sturdier materials to stabilize the windshield, leading to a more secure fit that addresses the initial design flaws. Despite these challenges, many riders appreciate the shield's overall performance once installed correctly. Its ability to redirect wind effectively, even when adjusted to a more suitable height, has received positive remarks. In summary, while the Slipstreamer Scooter Windshield offers excellent performance and durability, potential buyers should be prepared for the assembly challenges and may need to invest additional effort into securing a safe installation. **
